Your installation

Your installation appears here as you answer.

Do you already have solar panels?

We also replace, extend or complete existing installations, with a home battery or a charging station.

What would you like to do with them?

Where is your home?

Your postal code tells us your region: grid rules and incentives differ between Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels.

What is your roof covered with?

The mounting system depends on it. Not sure? Choose “I don't know” — we check it on aerial images.

Keeping your current panels as they are? Skip this question.

Which way does the roof face?

The side where the panels would go. South gives the most; east–west spreads production over the day.

How much electricity do you use?

We size the installation slightly above your consumption, so it covers it in an average year.

Adding panels to your current ones? Enter the consumption they do not cover, or the number of panels to add.

On your annual electricity bill. A Belgian family uses about 3,500 kWh a year.

Would you like a home battery?

A battery keeps daytime solar power for the evening: you use up to twice as much of your own electricity.

Battery capacity

Do you drive electric?

An electric car uses about 2,000 kWh a year; charging it with your own solar power pays off fastest.

When was the home first lived in?

Homes first occupied more than 10 years ago pay 6% VAT instead of 21% on solar panels and batteries.

Where should we send your estimate?

You see your estimate right away and receive a copy by e-mail. An advisor calls you to refine it — without obligation.

So an advisor can call you about your estimate.

How we calculate

The simulator applies the same rules as our quotes, with these averages:

  • Production: 1,000 kWh per installed kWp a year — less on an east–west roof.
  • Electricity: €0.35 per kWh you no longer buy, rising 3% a year; €0.04 per kWh fed into the grid.
  • Self-consumption: about 28% of the production without a battery, about 56% with one.
  • Panels: 1% less output after the first year, then 0.4% a year.
  • Battery: replaced after 15 years in the return on investment.
